Care Instructions

Care Instructions

Each piece is handcrafted with natural fabrics and traditional dyes. A little care goes a long way in preserving its colour, texture, and beauty.

Care By Fabric

Cotton & Mul Cotton

Cold hand wash only — water under 30°C
Mild detergent; do not soak for more than 20 minutes
Shade-dry flat — do not hang
Medium iron while slightly damp
Store folded, not hung

Chanderi Silk

Dry clean preferred; if hand washing, use cool water and gentle detergent
Never wring — press gently in a towel to absorb water
Iron on reverse using a cotton cloth as a press cloth
Store wrapped in muslin cloth

Linen

Gentle machine wash or hand wash in cold water
Slight shrinkage on first wash is expected — sizing accounts for this
High heat iron while damp for best results
Natural creasing is characteristic of linen — embrace it

Ajrakh & Natural Dye

Wash separately in cold water only — colours may bleed initially
First wash: use salt water (1 tsp salt per litre) to set the dye
No bleach or optical brighteners — ever
Dry fully in the shade — direct sunlight fades natural dyes
Embroidery & Printed Garments

Turn the garment inside-out before washing and place it in a mesh laundry bag. Use the gentle cycle only. Never iron directly over embroidery or printed areas.
